Maurice Clarret to have gay marriage, enter NFL draft early on same day,
thereby pissing off every conservative in he country

What a month for change. In the small world of sports, the NFL finally lost
its free minor league of college football, when common sense prevailed and
said that Clarret can enter the draft now, instead of waiting for 3 years past
high school. I really don’t care for the NCAA, so this is fun to see.

In the bigger news of change, San Fran is the first city to realize that
separate but equal isn’t good enough. Churches can do what they want with gay
marriage (1st amendment swings both ways), but there is no reason the state
should deny people the right to marry. People don’t see the irony in
Congressmen on their 3rd marriage trying to “protect” its sanctity. So SF
just said, ‘Come on over, we’re giving out licenses’, very cool.

Which brings me to today’s hot Internet trend, ordering flowers from San Fran
shops and having them delivered to couples standing in line. Here
is the blog
that started it, phone numbers of local shops are in there. I
don’t have the bling to donate, so I’ll just try to get the word out.
