Even more new good stuff

After pulling my hair out for a few hours last night, I have a working
popup menu on the left now, much cleaner then before. More updates on design
to come.

Slight site face-lift

I decided to touch up the site a bit. A couple new pictures up top, along with
cleaning up the pictures section. One of these days I’ll put this whole site
into xhtml/css, but until then this will do. Enjoy.

The New Deal

Yeah, that last quote kinda describes the last 3 months for me. Feeling good,
taking my chances, and getting burned. As my previous and rather brief entry
noted, I did not get the big job. Needless to say, its not been a month of
personal triumph.

So starting tomorrow, clean slate. I stop feeling sorry for myself and fix
what’s wrong. The job hunt (which I had been passively doing while waiting
out word on the afore-mentioned job) will commence in high gear, and no place
is too far to look or go. From this energy I can then try and get closure on
all the other outstanding issues in my head.

Why do you tease me?

The beard almost me its demise this week, as I got a quick voicemail telling
me to expect an answer friday, which did not come. So maybe we’re in the home
stretch here.

Thanks to all who’ve been reading this and enjoying the beard, its nice to
have the support :).

Well, now the beard protest has gone farther then I thought it would, but will
do on like some game of chicken with the train of inevitability. The beard
will stay until I hear back, get an interview with some other company (I’m in
full plan B mode now), or the muse hits me. And maybe the goatee I’ve grown so
accustomed to will be gone also. Crazy times in the history of facial hair.

So yeah, hire me!

Grizzly Adams did have a beard

Good day, and welcome to day 3 of the beard protest (and a full week past the
expected feedback date). Luckily, plenty of freelance to keep me occupied.
Also, I’ll finally be seeing Kill Bill Vol. 2 tonight, so I got that going for
me.

Also, I think i may start posting rants/essays up here, to break up the ‘what
I did today vibe’ of this web site.

Updated Beard!

Get in on the newest Internet craze! Bigger then dancing baby! Bigger then
Goatse! Biggger then AYBABTU! Bigger then Life of Jonah! It’s the “Watch Don’s
job response beard grow” project!

Also, search google a few dozen times today for “Hire Don Jay”. You see, they
have screens in the Google buildings that display what people are searching
for in real time, so if a lot of people do this, they may walk by and start
basing hiring decisions upon this. (Crazier things have happened).

Beard

So, I was supposed to hear the big news last Thursday, but its Tuesday now and
still no word. So, in a quasi-protest, I’m growing a beard. Each day their
will be updates with a picture of the beard in development. This will also
save that awkward “Have you heard yet?” conversation I’m getting tired of.
One quick look at my stubble (and eventual lack there of) and we’re all on the
same page.
