Darling I love you but give me Park Avenue.

So yeah, along with this new job will be a new apartment. I’ll be moving out
of the beloved LST and into the Park Ave yuppie lifestyle, hopefully around
September 1st, so if you know anyone looking to get out of a 2 bedroom
apartment around Park, you let me know.

Also, I’ve been toying with the idea to move this blog to Movable Type, mainly
to have a comments section and some of the other goodies that MT brings.

Under no circumstances should I have been allowed to read this book, but I did anyway.

If you know me, you know I love the casino, and more specifically Blackjack.
It’s my game of choice that I could honestly play for hours. So Mr. Berg
lends me his book, Bringing Down the House, which details how half a dozen MIT geeks took Vegas for millions in the earl nineties, using their math skills to count cards. The casinos do get their revenge in the end, but not before the protagonist walks away pretty much set financially for the next decade or so.
A fun and gripping book, which is a quick read at about 250 pages.

So here I am, knowing I’m about to start a nice paying job, with money in the
bank and lots of free time, reading a book on high stakes gambling…you know
where this is going. Right to Seneca Niagara! Friday night I head out with
Brad, Joe and Christine, and by 11pm we’re at the tables. Four hours and 8 Rum
and Cokes later, I’m up $150. And I’m hopefully going back this weekend too
:). Vegas baby! Vegas!
