Your money and you don’t even know it.
Quick quote to tip the proverbial hat to Swingers, my movie of the moment.
So damn, good and fast couple days. Friday starts off, and I’m wondering if
there’s even enough people left in town to make something happen in these
post-Banner days. Sure enough, Stomps, Joe, Brad and I have some brews on the
porch. Next thing you know we’re at Oxford’s pounding those famous $5 pitchers
of Amber Boch (which have always led to trouble). Meeting up with Brad’s
friends were the final element in the equation. You see, if you get enough
single drunks guys in a room, the subject will eventually turn to strip clubs
(it’s kinda like a spin-off of Godwin’s Law). So there we go off to The Barrel
of Dolls, and dear god it’s as terribly great as I remember. No cover, no
good beer and no pretty girls, but still a great way to spend an hour.
Saturday I woke up with pulled muscles, which I figured would be best rested
best by playing Ultimate Frisbee. We were playing at RIT, so our game was
flown over by the Blue Angels for a good hour or so. It was crazy, at times
they were only a few hundred feet over us (I could see the writing on the
plane, clear as day). Good times. Saturday night saw another 2am bar call,
but not before I went bowling with the gang, and pulled muscle number 4 of the
weekend.
Sunday I got caught in the mother of all thunderstorms, Bill Murray
unavailable for comment. Finished up the day with a movie at the little.
This week’s movie The Clearing, was great from start to finish. Redford and
Dafoe played great off of each other, and bonus points for the lead FBI agent
role, surprisingly good. Take that Napoleon!
