Lucky there’s a Family Guy (plus asking for help from my readers)

If you didn’t see my away message yesterday, I’ve come into possession of the new Family Guy that airs next Sunday. It’s back, and it’s as great as it ever was. I was almost in tears laughing, some of the gags were self-referencing (won’t give them away, but you’ll know them when you see them). Just made my day.

Running is hard, I’m up to 4 miles now, but I have to get to 6 consistently in under a month for the Lilac 10k. I’m actually going out for a quick run after writing this (hurray for procrastination). And now I found out about the boilermaker, a somewhat well known 15k in Utica. And when Utica asks you to show up, how can you not say yes?

I saw Millions today at the little, boy did that suck (Ebert gave it 4 stars, Rotten Tomatoes gave it 92%). The movie just didn’t know what it wanted to be, it was like 6th Sense, In America, About a Boy, Charlie Brown, A Simple Plan all wrapped into one. Little too much religion, weird subplot with the bank robber that didn’t fit at all, and absolutely terrible pacing (the movie had a fake ending, then 30 more minutes, a cardinal sin. 95 minutes felt like 300).

Also, my summer project is to do all the things in Rochester I’ve never done. Sort of a “50 things to do before you die”, but instead of dying, I’m just wrapping up my time in Rochester. This morning I scratched one thing off, I at breakfast at the Highland Park Diner. As most everyone reading this has spent some time here, what would you recommend? Garbage Plate at the city Tahou’s, swim the Gennessee? Take Dan to the hospital? What all am I missing here? Best ideas win beer.

If Amanda can start posting again, so can I.

I’m back in Rochester, and back in a semi-writing mood. DC was great (the pic on the left is taken though the sunroof in my car, pretty neat). Easter weekend I saw the whole National Mall area, along with the spy museum. Just a beautiful, city. On a side note, the White House is smaller than I thought.

This past weekend I just drove though DC to meet my sis for lunch Sunday in Alexandria. For the first time in a while I was openly getting flirted with by our waitress, and was so tired/caught off-guard, I didn’t even know how to handle it. I’m out of practice. U Maryland was great as always, with the added bonus of actually winning the freaking volleyball tournament (pics are up now, Maryland2005). I love this weekend, it officially starts spring for me.

Tonight I was walking into Pittsford Wegmans, when I caught a whiff of fresh cut grass and dew (that nice cool summer air when it gets 40 overnight). Stopped me in my tracks, love that smell. It’s the little things.

Rochester has it’s own Craig’s List now, I made my first post regarding finding shuffleboard tables in local bars (does anyone know where some are?)

NHL Playoffs should have started today. Sigh, eh.

Great one-liner…
Me: So, you’re headed to to Miami, nice. You going with the girl or some friends?
Buddy: The girl, it’s kinda like taking sand to the beach.
